Building on the success of the three previous editions (2022, 2023 and 2024), this fourth summer school will follow the same format to address the theme of « The Impossible in Mathematics ».
The Summer School in the History of Mathematics is aimed at secondary school and firstyear university mathematics teachers who are motivated to establish or deepen a foundational knowledge base in the history of mathematics. The goal is to help participants develop rigorous methodological reflexes in the history of mathematics and to design pedagogical resources that incorporate historical elements. Additionally, the summer school invites reflection on concepts to be taught and the implementation of pedagogical practices in mathematics education.
Fort du succès des trois éditions précédentes (2022, 2023 et 2024), cette quatrième école d’été en reprendra la formule pour aborder le thème de « L’impossible en mathématiques ».
L’École d’été d’histoire des mathématiques s’adresse à des enseignants de mathématiques du secondaire et du premier cycle universitaire volontaires qui cherchent à constituer, ou à consolider, un socle de connaissances élémentaires en histoire des mathématiques. L’objectif est d’acquérir des premiers réflexes méthodologiques rigoureux en histoire des mathématiques, mais aussi de concevoir des ressources pédagogiques utilisant l’histoire des mathématiques.
Cette école d’été ouvre également la réflexion sur les notions à enseigner et sur la mise en œuvre des pratiques pédagogiques dans l’enseignement des mathématiques.
