Any due payment will be taken onsite at CIRM during your stay.

The second Brazil–France School on Foliation Theory will bring together graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and researchers from the Brazilian and French communities. Building on their longstanding collaboration and the first edition held in 2024, the school aims to introduce participants to different areas of research in foliation theory and encourage new collaborations and scientific exchanges. The event will take place simultaneously at IMPA and CIRM in a mirror format. The programme will feature four mini-courses: two delivered at IMPA and broadcast live to CIRM, and two delivered at CIRM and broadcast live to IMPA. Each course will begin with an introduction accessible to graduate students and progress towards recent results. The planned topics include algebraization of meromorphic functions, deformation of rational curves along foliations, singular leaves, and complex dynamics. Short talks will complement the mini-courses. Local exercise and discussion sessions will also take place at both institutions, in the mornings at CIRM and after the broadcast sessions at IMPA.

MINI-COURSES

Séverine Biard (Université Polytechnique des Hauts de France)
Rogério Mol (Federal University of Minas Gerais)   Algebraization of germs of meromorphic functions
Crislaine Kuster (Tsinghua-YMSC Imperial College) and Ruben Lizarbe (Rio de Janeiro State University)   Deformation of rational curves along foliations
Jasmin Raissy (Université de Bordeaux)   Complex dynamics

LECTURES

Speakers and titles will be announced soon

TALKS

There will be short talks, mainly of younger researchers (PhD student, postdoctoral).

SCHEDULE

(to be precised soon)

Between 9h and 13h20 in Rio de Janeiro / 14h and 18h20 in Marseille, the lectures will hold alternatively on each continent, with online retransmission on the other side. There will be some discussion time and mathematical activities during the morning in CIRM.
