September 5 – 9, 2016
This conference aims to bring together mathematicians and theoretician biologists to present recent work on models dedicated to the study of dynamics of specific populations or epidemiological problems. Besides the thematic context, the conference is devoted to mathematical analysis of models to extract information on the ecological and epidemiological phenomena. This conference is part of an annual cycle of conferences initiated in 2007 in Leicester (GB) until 2010, and which continued in Colchester (GB) in 2011, in Santa Maria (Br) in 2012 in Osnabrück (D) in 2013, Turin (I) in 2014, and will be in Rio de Janeiro (Br) in 2015.
If these conferences have attracted a growing number of participants (over 200 in 2013), the idea here is to bring the conference to a smaller number of participants to enable easier exchanges. The initiation of international collaborations, integrating young researchers and more experienced researchers, is of particular interest. Since 2007, the annual conference MPDE targets the development of mathematical modeling ecosystem dynamics at all scales through various mathematical methods, computing and interdisciplinary. Here are some topics of particular interest:
