The International Summer School in Analysis (ISSA) aims to provide an introduction to modern directions of analysis for advanced undergraduate and Master’s students. It will last one week and will combine morning lectures and afternoon problem sessions. The school is designed to build bridges between classical and contemporary methods, while offering participants an immersive experience into the practice of mathematical research.
Each morning will feature three 45-minute lectures introducing the theoretical foundations of the week’s theme, given by internationally recognized researchers. In the afternoons, students will work in small groups during guided problem sessions, tackling research-oriented problems proposed by the speakers. These sessions are designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and early exposure to research methods.
The school will be open to Master’s students (with priority to first-year Master’s students) and to advanced undergraduate students who are considering graduate studies in mathematics. By combining accessible lectures, mentoring interactions, and collaborative problem solving, ISSA aims to create a vibrant community of young mathematicians and promote international exchanges at an early career stage.
L’Ecole d’été internationale d’analyse (ISSA) à pour objectif d’introduire de jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs aux méthodes contemporaines de l’analyse moderne. Pendant une semaine, les participantes et participants assisteront le matin à trois cours de 45 minutes présentant les notions fondamentales, et l’après-midi à des séances de problèmes où ils travailleront en groupe sur des questions de recherche proposées par les conférenciers.
L’école est ouverte en priorité aux étudiantes et étudiants de première année de Master, ainsi qu’aux étudiantes et étudiants en dernière année de licence avancée souhaitant poursuivre en master ou en thèse de mathématiques. En favorisant les échanges entre chercheuses et chercheurs et étudiantes et
étudiants dans un cadre collaboratif et stimulant, ISSA contribue à renforcer la formation à la recherche et la création de liens scientifiques durables à l’échelle internationale.
