The conference ”Geometry & Computing” aims at gathering a broad spectrum of international researchers interested in the various computational aspects of geometry. Our objectives are to facilitate interactions between the different geometry-centric computing communities, to highlight new trends, and to foster new theoretical or applied developments by assembling a focused event mixing leading experts of geometry and young researchers. This conference follows the success of the 2024 edition of ”Geometry & Computing”, which was the main event wraping up the thematic year titled ”Geometry” of the GdR IFM and IG-RV. It is co-organized by the three ”Geometry” working groups within GdR IFM and GdR IG-RV: computational geometry (GT GeoAlgo), geometric modeling (GT MG), as well as digital geometry and mathematical morphology (GT GDMM). The three working groups will also co-locate their annual meetings in order to guarantee the success of the event.
La conférence ”Géométrie & Informatique” vise `a rassembler un large groupe de chercheurs intéressés par les différents aspects computationnels de la géométrie. Notre objectif est de faciliter les interactions entre les différentes communautés informatiques axées sur la géométrie, de mettre en évidence les nouvelles tendances, et de favoriser les développements d’ordre théorique ou appliqué, en mélangeant experts internationaux reconnus et jeunes chercheurs. Elle prolonge le succès de l’édition 2024 de ”Géométrie & Informatique”, qui était l’´évènement principal clôturant l’année thématique ”Géométrie” des GdR IFM et IG-RV. Elle est coorganisée par les trois groupes de travail “Géométrie” de ces GdR : géométrie algorithmique (GT GeoAlgo), modélisation géométrique (GT MG), et géométrie discrète et morphologie mathématique (GT GDMM). Les trois groupes de travail vont aussi co-localiser leurs réunions annuelles pendant la conférence pour garantir le succès de l’évènement.
