RT2N is one of the thematic networks newly created by the CNRS with the aim of developing the thematic network established by its former GDRs. When it was created, it incorporated the former GDR JC2A and part of the former GDR EFI. This network brings together more than 400 number theorists from all over France, including French Polynesia, as well as Canada via the IRL CRMCNRS. The scientific field covered by RT2N is number theory in its broadest sense, as well as its interactions with other areas of mathematics and computer science. This conference is the flagship event of the RT’s first term. Its aim is to bring together people from the network in an international context. The presentations will provide an overview of number theory (in the broad sense) and its recent developments. Among the areas that will be covered, we have focused in particular on algebraic, analytical, geometric, and computational aspects, but also on interactions with other fields such as representation theory, model theory, and differential Galois theory. The large scale of this event will attract a wide audience from a variety of backgrounds. Special attention will be given to young people. In addition, a summer school on the same thematic network was held at CIRM in September 2024 and was a great success.
Le RT2N est l’un des réseaux thématiques nouvellement créés par le CNRS dans le but de faire évoluer le maillage thématique tissé par ses anciens GDR. Il a intégré à sa création l’ancien GDR JC2A et une partie de l’ancien GDR EFI. Ce réseau regroupe plus de quatre cents théoricien·ne·s des nombres réparti·e·s sur tout le territoire français, y compris la Polynésie française, ainsi qu’au Canada via L’IRL CRMCNRS. Le champ scientifique couvert par le RT2N est la théorie des nombres dans son acception la plus large, ainsi que ses interactions avec les autres domaines mathématiques et l’informatique. Cette conférence est l’évènement phare du premier mandat de ce RT. Elle a comme but de réunir les personnes du réseau dans un contexte international. Les exposés feront un panorama de la théorie des nombres (au sens large) et de ses développements récents. Parmi les axes qui seront touchés nous avons notamment visé les aspects algébriques, analytiques, géométriques et computationnels, mais aussi les interactions avec d’autres domaines comme la théorie des représentations, la théorie des modèles, la théorie de Galois différentielle. La grande ampleur de cet évènement attirera un large public d’origine variée. Une attention particulière sera donnée aux jeunes. Par ailleurs une école d’été du même réseau thématique a eu lieu au CIRM en Septembre 2024 et a été un grand succès.
