L’objectif de cette conférence est de mettre en valeur les connexions et interactions
récentes entre la théorie des modèles et la théorie des nombres, et de favoriser de nouveaux développements en créant un forum d’échanges mathématiques et de discussions intenses. Plus précisément, le thème de cette réunion est la confluence de quatre sujets : (A) l athéorie des modèles des corps et des corps valués ; (B) les notions de minimalité dans la théorie des modèles, y compris l’o-minimalité et la h-minimalité ; (C) la théorie de la calculabilité, en relation avec les théories du premier ordre des anneaux et des corps, et avec le dixième problème de Hilbert ; et (D) l’interaction entre la théorie des modèles et la géométrie, en particulier en ce qui concerne la géométrie arithmétique et l’intégration motivique. Ces quatre domaines ont récemment connu des développements spectaculaires qui seront reflétés dans la réunion proposée.
The aim of this conference is to showcase recent connections and interactions between Model Theory and Number Theory, and to foster new developments by creating a forum for mathematical exchange and intense discussions. More precisely, the theme of this meeting is the confluence of four subjects: (A) the Model Theory of fields and of valued fields; (B) notions of minimality in Model Theory, including o-minimality and Hensel minimality; (C) Computability Theory, as it relates to first-order theories of rings and fields, and to Hilbert’s Tenth Problem; and (D) the interplay of Model Theory and Geometry, in particular with respect to arithmetic geometry and motivic integration. All of these four areas have recently seen spectacular developments which will be reflected in the proposed meeting.
