The purpose of the conference is to bring together international experts in Calculus of Variations to discuss the most recent advances in the field, both on theoretical and more applied aspects. The main topics covered will include geometric measure theory, problems with free boundaries or free discontinuities, shape optimization, homogenization, and geometric analysis. Applications in solid mechanics, continuum mechanics, and data science will also be discussed. Through two mini-courses, the meeting will place particular emphasis on training young researchers in cutting-edge concepts in this field. This will be complemented by presentations from both senior and junior researchers, fostering new interactions among the various themes addressed throughout the conference.
Le but de la conférence est de réunir des chercheuses et chercheurs internationaux en calcul des variations pour échanger sur les avancées récentes dans le domaine, aussi bien sur des aspects théoriques que plus appliqués. Les principaux thèmes abordés seront la théorie de la mesure géométrique, les problèmes à frontière ou à discontinuité libre, l’optimisation de forme, l’homogénéisation, et l’analyse géométrique. Des applications en mécanique du solide ou des milieux continus et en science des données seront discutées. À travers deux mini-cours, la rencontre mettra un accent particulier sur la formation des jeunes chercheurs et des jeunes chercheuses aux concepts de pointe dans le domaine. Ces cours seront complétés par des exposés de chercheurs seniors et juniors, favorisant ainsi de nouvelles interactions entre les différents thèmes abordés tout au long de la conférence.
