We wish to complete a work in progress, initiated in 2020, during this research in residence. It is to study the statistics of the random energy model (REM), introduced by B. Derrida in 1980, in the complex temperature domain via random complex functions. It is an exactly solvable canonical model of statistical mechanics with disorder.
