The goal of this workshop is to set up dynamical methods appropriate for the statistical study of the distribution of values of ”quantum” modular forms of weight zero, in the terminology introduced by Zagie. The main examples are periods of automorphic forms of rank 2. The distributional problem has, however, a more general formulation related to random walks on discrete groups. Partial works have been caried out independently in 2019 by Lee-Sun and Bettin-Drappeau, in two distinct directions, when the group is an arithmetic cover of SL(2, Z). Our task in this workgroup is to find an appropriate setting with no condition on the Fuchsian group.
Cet atelier a pour but de mettre au point des méthodes dynamiques adaptées à l’étude statistique de la répartition des valeurs de formes modulaires ”quantiques” de poids zéro, dans la terminologie introduite par Zagier. Les principaux exemples sont les périodes de formes automorphes de rang 2. Le problème de répartition admet cependant une formulation plus générale liés aux marches aléatoires sur un groupe discret. Des travaux partiels ont été menés indépendamment en 2019 par Lee-Sun et Bettin-Drappeau, dans deux directions indépendantes, lorsque le groupe est un recouvrement arithmétique de SL(2, Z). L’objectif de ce groupe de travail est de trouver un cadre approprié sans condition sur le groupe Fuchsien.
