A real algebraic variety realizing equality in the Smith-Thom inequality is said to be maximal or an M -variety. The study of M -varieties is one of the central themes in the study of the topology of real algebraic varieties.
We intend to explore the following problem: Is the Hilbert scheme of points of an M -surface an M -manifold?
Une variété algébrique réelle qui vérifie l’inégalité de Smith-Thom est dite maximale et appelée M -variété. L’étude de M -variétés est un des thèmes centraux de la topologie de variétés algébriques réelles. Nous avons l’intention d’explorer le problème suivant : Le schéma de Hilbert ponctuel d’une M -surface, est-elle toujours une M -variété ?
