Description
Over the past decade, the interplay between operator theory (a classical subject of functional analysis) and other fields of pure and applied mathematics has substantially increased. This interplay is interesting in both directions (from operator theory to otherfields, and conversely). The conference will focus on recent advances of this subject, especially on the interactions of operator theory with complex and harmonic analysis, geometric group theory, ergodic theory and analytic number theory.
Rather than a meeting meant for experts in a particular topic, we will put the emphasis on the
exchange of ideas between people coming from these different areas to further pursue the study of these interactions that have already proven fruitful and that we believe are still very promising.
