RESEARCH IN PAIRS
Magnetic Schrödinger Operators
Opérateurs de Schrödinger magnétiques

7 – 18 January 2019
Description
Vincent Bruneau (University of Bordeaux, France) and Gueorgui Raykov (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile) have been actively collaborating for more than fifteen years. Most of the joint research is devoted to the spectral and scattering theory of magnetic Schrödinger operators and their various perturbations. Among the main problems attacked, we could mention the asymptotic distribution of resonances and of eigenvalues, the singularities of the Krein spectral shift function (SSF) at the spectral thresholds, as well as the high-energy behavior of the SSF (or the scattering phase). An important element in the analysis of these problems is the crucial role of the Berezin-Toeplitz operators as effective Hamiltonians in different asymptotic regimes. The aim of this project is to summarize and develop these results in a research monograph. This meeting at CIRM is the third in a series of four from June 2017 to July 2018 in order to finalize the writing of the book.
