CONFERENCE
Analysis, Geometry and Topology of Stratified Spaces
June 13-17, 2016

This is a week-long workshop on the general theme of topology, geometry and geometric analysis on stratified spaces. The field holds remarkable vitality: witness the impressive scope of new results in this field regularly announced on the arXiv, the substantial number of very talented young researchers working in this area, and the many important open questions.  This workshop will bring together a diverse set of research communities, focusing on the various ways in which stratified spaces arise in specific problems in geometric analysis, mathematical physics and topology, and the various techniques which are being brought to bear on these problems.

Topics to be treated include:

- Index theory and de Rham-Hodge theory on stratified pseudo manifolds

- Topology of complex projective varieties

- Group actions

- Surgery theory

- Interaction between topology and analysis.
Specifically: intersection cohomology and L2 cohomology, singular characteristic classes, singular elliptic cohomology and its relation to index theory.

- Secondary invariants on locally symmetric spaces and stratified pseudo manifolds

- Spectral Theory
