CONFERENCE
Controllability of Partial Differential Equations and Applications
November 9 -13, 2015 |
In the recent years, the theory of control of partial differential equations (PDEs) has tremendously evolved and the field is rapidly growing: control of conservation laws, of nonlinear PDEs, of degenerate equations, of equations with delay or memory, of systems of PDEs. Interactions between finite and infinite dimensions are as well to be mentioned both at the theoretical level and for the discretization of some continuous control problems. These examples express well the wide range of challenges that researchers face at both the theoretical and methodological levels and also for developments towards applications and the numerical treatment of control questions. In fact, the issue of the computation on an actual control, from the theoretical problem to its implementation and its robustness, is a key aspect in regards of applications that we wish to cover in this conference. The objectives of the conference are: 1/ The review of the recent advances and the determination of new and promising research directions. 2/ The invitation of confirmed researchers. 3/ The invitation of young researchers, in particular those in search of permanent positions, who will contribute to set out new research directions. 4/ The gathering of a large group of PhD students in France and other countries, to participate and to orient their work towards promising directions and to favor collaborations. The last two points are essential for a rapidly growing discipline. The GDRE ConEDP and LEM2I as well as international collaborations (France-Japan, Tassili,…) will guarantee traveling and an international participation to the conference.
